Recognizing the customer need for flexibility in today's vigorously competitive marketplace, North Baja Pipeline offers hub services such as parking and lending.

These interruptible services allow customers to respond to short-term market fluctuations by using available space on the North Baja Pipeline as a storage facility. North Baja Pipeline is able to provide the service through its daily control of pipeline flows, including the drawing down and building up of "line pack" inventories.

Customers who contract for this service can "store" gas for a minimum of one day up to a maximum of one month. Storage withdrawals must be made from the same point where the gas was parked.

North Baja Pipeline will open an account for those requesting this service. Amounts "parked" will be credited to the account. Later, the shipper can elect to nominate a withdrawal up to the amount collected in the account. That quantity will then be debited.

Also referred to as "authorized imbalance," the service allows customers to borrow gas for a short time to respond to market conditions, replacing the gas at the same point at a later date.

North Baja Pipeline will establish an account for gas borrowers. North Baja Pipeline will "loan" gas from the account, based on shipper nominations, and debit the amount. At the time this advance is confirmed, the customer will agree to a schedule for the return of the loaned gas. Also referred to as "authorized imbalance," the service allows customers to borrow gas for a short time to respond to market conditions, replacing the gas at the same point at a later date.
